In April 2007 we replaced the existing website, which had been
created via an unwieldy website creation service.

Top Hat Corporate Solutions is a small, dynamic company working primarily in
financial services and marketing.
In November 2005 Top Hat wanted a website, but
didn't want to concern themselves with its day-to-day running,
and dealing with the problems that inevitably occur with any internet or
network-based service.
Working in conjunction with Harrison Design,
a professional graphic design company, we were able to
deliver a complete website solution, from design to hosting, within a matter of days
and at a very competitive cost.
One of the tasks of the Co-op Treasury Department is
the purchase and distribution of foreign currency.
In March 2006 the department wanted to replace their
ageing Lotus Approach based system with something
more functional and robust. Thanks to our highly successful work with other
Co-op divisions they got in touch with us.
The solution, named Forex,
comprised a MS-Access 2003 front-end with a
SQL Server 2000 database back-end.
Co-op Group Intranet
In 2004, a new Intranet was rolled out across the entire Co-op Group. It was imperative
a system was in place to deal with the expected abundance of calls to the help desk.
The Project Manager had already worked with us during
his time at Co-op Property, so he knew we were reliable, and, more importantly, fast -
the system had to be up and running within days!
We delivered a fully-fledged solution within the tight timescale; one that included comprehensive
searching and reporting facilities.
The Property Division of the Co-op Group is responsible for a sizable portfolio
of properties throughout the UK and abroad.
In January 2003 the division came to us when the contractor responsible for PARIS and BRASIL, two
of their business-critical invoicing systems, unexpectedly left.
Initially tasked with maintenance and documentation of these third-party systems,
our role soon expanded to the development of brand new applications.
The first of these was the Archives Log database,
an application to track archived documents stored both on-site and off-site (through
Pickfords).
The second was the Change Notes database,
an application to record changes to properties across the entire portfolio.
In July 2005 we embarked on a complete
redevelopment of
PARIS to meet the current and future needs
of the division.
Co-operative Funeralcare
Co-operative Funeralcare have over 600 local funeral homes across the country and
is a key member of the National Association of Funeral Directors.
In April 2003 the company needed more detail on how it was
performing in the marketplace.
We developed a Market Share Database to
analyse the death figures from the ONS and the funeral figures from their network of branches,
providing a comprehensive range of MS-Excel reports illustrating the trends in market share.
These reports ranged from an overall national picture down to
individual branch catchment areas, based on postcode sectors.
This tool is still a vital part of the business today.
Manchester is the UK's largest economic region outside London and is one of Britain's most
lively and dynamic cities.
In December 2006 the council had a reporting
requirement for which our existing Report Generator product seemed an ideal solution.
As with every project we undertake, it was no trouble at all to customise the application to
precisely meet the specific needs of the council.
The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is rich in history and presents a vibrant mix of
old and new; a bustling community unique in culture and character.
In August 2005 the council required a number of bespoke reports
to help in the administration of their housing-related debts.
The Report Generator we subsequently developed connects to their Oracle database and enables
the instant generation of reports in HTML
and MS-Excel formats. This collection of reports has grown consistently over time
and is a testament to the continuing usefulness of the application.
Middlesbrough Council
Middlesbrough Council required a way to purge data from their Sundry Incomes system whilst
at the same time retaining easy access to it.
We developed a bespoke
Enquiry and Archiving application,
allowing data to be purged from the live database and providing a fully graphical front-end
with comprehensive search facilities.
